Privacy Policy

Fotomeal (“the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is processed and how.
1. Data we process

2. How photos are handled (important)
The AI photo scan sends your meal’s image to a server function (Supabase Edge Function) that calls a vision AI service (OpenAI) for the duration of the analysis only. The image:
- is not stored durably by Fotomeal;
- is used solely to produce the estimate (calories + macros + confidence);
- is not used for advertising and is not resold.
The access key to the AI service stays exclusively server-side; it is never present in the app.
3. What we do NOT do
- ❌ No advertising, no ad trackers.
- ❌ No marketing push notifications.
- ❌ No reselling of personal data.
4. Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication, server-side analysis function.
- OpenAI — image analysis, ephemeral processing, no storage on Fotomeal’s side.
- Open Food Facts — public food database, barcode / search queries.
- RevenueCat / Google Play Billing — premium subscription.
5. Your rights
Your journal data is local: you can delete it by uninstalling the app or clearing the entries. For any request regarding an account (access, deletion), contact us.
